Equine Leadership Magazine is an internationally authored and read magazine coming upon its 10th anniversary in 2025. I, Lynda Watson, am the founder and publisher from Ontario, Canada. Equine Leadership was started in 2016 when I took the leap of faith and asked a few friends in the field if they would be interested in writing an article for a magazine that spoke to the Horse~Human relationship. They all said YES and here we are almost ten editions later.
It is a long process to get to each final publication. We send out a 'call for submissions' the summer before we publish asking for potential authors to look into their heart and the heart of their herd so see if they are ‘called’ to write for that edition. The rest of the year is spent writing, reading, editing and formatting the magazine. The phrase, it takes a village (or herd), is very true in the case of each edition. From the authors and their horses collaborating on their articles to our fearless editor, Pat Hutchinson, working her magic to formatting (for online and hard copy), printing and promoting; that herd is strong and committed to the vision of Equine Leadership.
Equine Leadership started as an online magazine and a print version was soon added. It is ever evolving with new platforms beyond the magazine offered in order to communicate the wisdom of the horse and ease humanity into a brighter future. Professionals from the global field of Horse~Human relationships have shared both their own and their horse’s wisdom.
I honour each of the horses and authors that have provided their voices through each of articles shared in Equine Leadership Magazine. We are a collective, Horse and Human, sharing voices and wisdom to guide humanity forward towards a more peaceful and positive future.

Lynda Watson
I make my home just outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I am the founder and publisher of Equine Leadership magazine and also host of Inspire Me Forward. I have currently stepped away from a career to focus on authoring several books along with this magazine. It goes without saying that in my life the horses are never far away. I freelance as a coach in the field of Equine Facilitated Learning but you might just find me sitting with the horses sharing time and space. The equine herd relationship has instilled in me the insight that a horse’s model of living is a gateway to personal, community and global change. A brighter future so to speak. EL Editor: Pat Hutchinson
A long time ago, Pat had a hunch that there was more to the relationship between horses and humans than she had initially thought. Horses possess a natural way of being that is completely aligned with their instincts. They are quite willing to teach humans. This prompted her to undertake certification. Pat is now an Advanced FEEL Practitioner. She has found that learning from horses and living from this being space, a deeper emotional vitality, mental serenity, and spiritual connection have expanded her consciousness. Horses point us toward self-empowerment, self-knowledge and self-respect through their willing cooperation and collaboration. Over the last several years, Pat has witnessed the deliberate intent of the horses to empower humans to expand their evolution. This can take a lot of energy on their part. Pat’s role is changing to one of support for the horses in the clearing of the energy they take on. To this end, she has studied and uses Reiki, Therapeutic Touch and Homeopathy to assist them with their needs. Pat has also set up a YouTube channel, Pat and Peace, uploading her Relaxation and Guided Meditation CDs from her course which she taught for many years. Pat has also been editing this wonderful magazine and several inspiring books by Lynda Watson.
